Highlight the word or phrase you wish to annotate.
Choose Add Note from the pop-up menu that appears as soon as you finish your highlighting.
Type in your note, as shown in Figure 2-6, and then

After you add notes to the text, you can review your notes by using the annotation index. After you open the index, tap the note you'd like to see and the Reader opens not only the note, but also the page where you added the note.
Tap the keyboard icon to hide the onscreen keyboard when you're viewing existing notes. Doing so enables you to view the e-book page in addition to simply seeing the note itself.
You can also add highlighting, a bookmark, or a drawing to the text by selecting the proper choice from the pop-up menu that appears when you select text. If you want to quote the text exactly, you can copy the selected text.
